Upon successful completion of this unique teacher training course, you will also become a Metaphysical Practitioner.
What is Applied Metaphysical Mindfulness?
Applied Metaphysical mindfulness is, as the name suggests, a synergy of the study of metaphysics and the practice of mindfulness being usefully implemented into the context of daily life. This sounds more complicated than it actually is. First, let’s identify metaphysics.
Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that asks questions about and provides possible answers to the nature of reality as we experience it as human beings. It makes philosophical inquiries into things like time, space, change, and existence. It asks questions like “What are we?” “Why are we here?” and even, “What is?”
These are fundamental questions that many of us asked when we were children, and perhaps many of us have not asked since childhood. Questions like these have been pondered over by great thinkers across civilizations for thousands of years.
Metaphysics isn’t complicated.
Metaphysics isn’t complicated. It asks simple questions about life and existence. It asks many questions and it gives many possible answers. Metaphysics doesn’t give definitive answers that everyone will agree upon. Metaphysics provides many answers and you can decide if any of these answers resonate with you. You can find some answers that you can adopt, reject, or even adapt using some of your own ideas. You can even develop some of your own original ideas and interpretations.
What You'll Learn
In this course you will learn about some of the greatest metaphysical philosophers throughout history. You will learn about the questions they asked and the answers they gave. From the ancient Greek philosophers, Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, to some later philosophers, such as Spinoza, Descartes, and Kant. You will also learn about some metaphysical philosophers from other cultures such as Lao Tzu, Buddha, and Confucius.
Many metaphysical philosophers have been spiritual people, and many have been secular. Whether you are a spiritual person or secular person metaphysics can lead you to question your current beliefs or it can reinforce them.
Metaphysics can open and free your mind. It can give you the intellectual tools to fully investigate and better understand life, meaning, existence, and yourself. This can help you lead a truly fulfilling life.

Now Let’s Discuss Mindfulness.
Mindfulness is simply a method and a form of meditation. When you hear the word ‘meditation’ perhaps it conjures stereotypical images of people sitting crossed-legged on the floor while being instructed to “clear your mind of all thoughts”. Mindfulness isn’t that. Mindfulness can be practiced at anytime and anywhere. It can even be practiced in a comfortable chair!

Mindfulness is being hyper aware of, alert to, and conscious of the present moment in time. Through mindfulness, you learn to anchor yourself to the present moment. You let go of thoughts of the past. You let go of thoughts of the future. This allows you to fully actualize yourself in the present. You stimulate yourself in the present thereby meeting your potential in this and every moment. Mindfulness utilizes breathing, an action that is constantly happening in the now, to help anchor yourself to the present moment.

Mindfulness meditation can be used for all manner of purposes. It can be used to energize yourself in the present. It can be used to let go of troubling thoughts of the past. It can be used to alleviate worries of the future. It can be used to overcome trauma and improve your mental health.

-
You can use it to motivate and inspire yourself to action.
-
You can use it to stimulate creativity and foster divine inspiration.
-
You can use it to unburden yourself from negativity and to live positively.
-
You can use it be content and at peace.
The Synergy Of Metaphysics And Mindfulness
One of the concepts that metaphysics addresses is time. To be more specific, metaphysics address how we as humans experience time.
We experience time linearly from the past to the future. However, only the present actually exists. The past used to exist when it was the present, but now it no longer exists, and it will never exist again. The future on the other hand, also doesn’t exist. It will eventually exist, but it doesn’t exist now and it can never exist now. Moreover, the future, unlike the past and the present, is undetermined. So the future is even less real than the past. Therefore, only the present exists and is actually real.

By understanding, through metaphysics, that only the present is real, and by practising mindfulness to be fully conscious within that reality, we can work towards living happy and fulfilling lives in the now. This is the synergy of metaphysics and mindfulness that we seek to apply to daily life.

So now that we have established metaphysical mindfulness, what about ‘Applied’? Well, it’s all well and good to be able to understand metaphysical concepts and to know mindfulness practices. But we seek to do much more than that. We seek to successfully apply metaphysical mindfulness into our daily lives in order to improve our well-being now and for life.

Applied Metaphysical Mindfulness isn’t just a theory, it’s a lived philosophy. It means noticing the metaphysical truth that only the present is real, then practising mindfulness to meet that reality with awareness, compassion, and intention. In doing so, we don’t merely understand life, we participate in it more fully.
